It was March of this year when ABS-CBN announced a partnership with WeTV iFlix Philippines, a video streaming platform that caters to bringing well loved Asian video drama and film contents to Southeast asian countries like China, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines among others.
The partnership brought ABS-CBN’s primetime series “Ang Probinsyano” top-billed award-winning Coco Martin to WeTV iFlix starting March 20 and new series’ with Andrea Brillante and Francine Diaz in the leading roles in “Huwag Kang Mangamba”. Meanwhile, “Init sa Magdamag” starring Yam Conception, JM De Guzman, and Gerald Anderson premiered on the streaming platform on April 17. All of these series have an exclusive advance two (2) episodes ahead of the Free TV broadcast in A2Z and TV5.
WeTV Philippines recently updated the IU template of their Apps and now has the feature to show the daily Top 10 trending or most watch contents within the platform which is similar to how Netflix ranks their most viewed contents in their platform.
Top trending shows in the streaming platform are mostly dominated by South Korean, and Chinese dramas, but Kapamilya surely is starting to also dominate the streaming platform. As of yesterday (May 23), two of ABS-CBN’s drama series are now part of the top trending drama content in WeTV Philippines.

The Andrea Brilliante, and Franczine Diaz starrer “Huwag Kang Mangamba” ranks no. 2 in the trending list as of May 24. It is family fantasy-drama about miracles, hope, and faith.

Meanwhile, Gerald Anderson, JM De Guzman, and Yam Concepcion’s “Init sa Magdamag” is currently the most watched and top trending show in WeTV Philippines. It is a Romance Drama about passionate love between the three leads.
