The Department of Tourism (DOT) pays tribute to NOYPI health workers!

As the world emerges from quarantine measures and more places are being declared safe from COVID-19, let us not forget the many Filipino health workers who have been risking their lives from the start of the pandemic, and who will continue to brave the front lines, thousands of miles away from home.

For us every single death is a failure.

Following “Smile,” DOT’s inspirational tribute to Filipino frontliners, “Noypi” honors over 254,000 doctors, nurses, caregivers, hospital staff, and other healthcare workers who form part of the 10 million OFWs around the world.

It’s my job and I’am a Filipino.

Originally performed by the band Bamboo, Noypi’s surging melody and rousing lyrics are made tender and poignant when sung by 16-year-old Katching Silvestre to a choir-like vocal arrangement by her father Monet Silvestre.

We are not afraid to die.

We celebrate this Independence Day by standing with our frontliners. Your dedication to the profession has made an immense contribution to global recovery, and we are all deeply proud to say, “Hoy, Pinoy ako!”

Envirormental Advocacy

MyPhone along with its sister brands introduced start-ups namely Politically Incorrect (PI) apparel and FleekApp, SGI’s MyHouse, and Green Sun share the same advocacy of offering Filipinos a greener Earth.

MyPhone and MyHouse

Since 2017, MyPhone has been producing boxes and packaging with eco-friendly, recyclable materials as its way to help protect the environment. Furthermore, Solid Group Inc’s MyHouse offers factory-engendered and eco-friendly modular houses. Modular technology means less to NO quarrying needed. No excessive need for raw natural resources such as sand, stones, wood and other conventional masonry materials.

Politically Incorrect (PI) aparrel

MySolid Tech, MyPhone’s mother company, is the one behind the two aforementioned new start-ups. PoliticallyIncorrect (PI) is a clothing brand with a mission to increase awareness on mankind’s corruptive tendencies towards the environment.

The PI brand expresses its unique design by creating a series of  inverted figurative illustrations that remind everyone of the bad repercussions the cutting down of trees may bring upon us. PI brand itself is a message of protest to stop illegal and unmindful cutting of trees.

Fleek App

On the other hand, the Fleek! App is a new social media application for young adults that allows its users to feel heard, counted on, cared for, and appreciated.

Green Sun

Green Sun, the host for the Figure and Form preliminary judging of the 85 Miss Earth 2019 candidates and The Eye, the first ever 360-venue in the country is a creative platform dedicated for every aspiring, bright, and talented Filipinos. It is a blank canvas for the young and talented Filipinos  to create and develop, and which shall be brought to life by their passion for Music, Visual Arts, Performances, Innovation and Design. This is a meaningful manifestation of one of Green Sun’s guiding principles: planting the “Seed of Life” for our future shapers.

MySolid Tech and Solid Group Inc were also given the opportunity to introduce its brands to the candidates. One of the most interesting parts of this event is the mini Question and Answer portion which was participated by Ms. Guyana, Ms. Bolivia, Ms. US Virgin Islands, Miss Spain, Miss Zambia, Miss Mexico and Miss Ghana.

When Miss Ghana was asked “if you are to use the Fleek App, what would be that one thing you would want the world to know about the Mother Earth”, she answered:

“I will  use that same  platform (Fleek App), the technology that we have to be able to promote my advocacy. For example, for my advocacy I use music a form of communication to promote all my advocacy, using MyPhone, the (Fleek) app I can use it as a platform to be able to promote my advocacy.”

The ladies who joined the Mini Q&A received a brand new MyPhone smartphone each. Meanwhile, all 85 candidates received PI Shirts and Shoes whose advocacy they truly love.

Welcome to my JourNYI

Oh, Hello there! Ako si INYI YRUMA!

HOW DO I START?

How do I start writing when I have a lot in mind that I want to share. It has been years since I last attempted to put up my own blog but due to busy schedule and some other stuff, I couldn’t find time.

They say that when you reach your 30’s, since things are becoming different, TOTALLY DIFFERENT IN MANY ASPECTS, the way you see things and the way you deal with life also become different.

30 YEARS OF EXISTENCE

30 years of existence in this world, (They say I don’t look 30, is that a compliment? 😛 ). I’d say it has been quite fun and challenging and I couldn’t be even more grateful and proud of where I am today–somehow all dreams are starting to take place. I am grateful, really!

LIFE HITS YOU HARD!

Life isn’t always easy, there are indeed rocky roads along the way that we cannot skip. Those challenges can either make or break us. It’s hard but you gotta play it smart and endure the pain; play hard and be the best version of yourself.

I AM A NOBODY!

I know I am still a nobody in this diverse universe of the Internet but a realization had hit me these past few weeks. With all the challenges and blessings I’ve been getting, with just one phrase from someone “Sir, I want to become like you someday”, I was hit hard, touching the inner depths of my heart. I was somehow INSPIRING other people without me knowing.

Life is indeed short, so better share something, it might either be small or big but it’ll definitely make a difference! So, as much as I can, I will try my best to SHARE a part of me to you who is reading this. Thank you for taking time to read this. Welcome to my #JourNYI.
